At the close of UNDER GOD – We the People – Returning to our Roots Workshops, participants are asked: “If you had the opportunity to change the existing Preamble of the United States Constitution, what would you write?” The following is a sample of Preambles written by those participants.

E.B., Newbury Park, California

“Under God, We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

“In the name of the Most High God, We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
